I know, I know. . .

. . . I probably sound like a commercial for Eclectic Paperie, but these Fancy Pants Stamps (Pollen Dust and Bella Brush) will be in my greedy hands soon! I ordered earlier this evening (after asking Joy, “whennnnn?” and her reply, “Just now!!”) and already have shipping information from Daisy and Joy. The patterned paper and rub ons I ordered before are pining for their crowning glory. The stamps. All the Fancy Pants stuff is pretty and bright and artsy. . . totally a different feel than what we’ve been experiencing here in South Central Texas the last several days.

It’s been very grey, very overcast, and yesterday, I drove into a ginormous, fantastic electrical storm on my way home. I stopped at the grocery store and got absolutely soaked walking the short distance from my car to the front door. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the rain – the feel, the smells, the way everything’s washed clean and looks shiny and brand new again. . . I just don’t care to drive through it with idiots all around me! Anyway, after dinner we were kinda sitting around, reading and doing homework with the kids, and our neighbor (hi, Debi!) came by. She was working in her stamp room, and looked out the window to see the brightest double rainbow stretched across the sky right outside our houses, and came over to let us know. The kids splashed around in puddles and we just stayed out there a while. It was nice, talking to our neighbors, appreciating the rainbows and the really bright colors of everything, and the cool early evening.

I’ll have to share pictures tomorrow as the camera battery’s dead after a bunch of 3rd grade program pictures, but WOW, was that ever a sight to behold. Simply amazing. Everything around us is really beautiful this time of year.

I have to make it a point to stop and appreciate it all.

OH great..why is it that everytime I read your blog..or Beate’s blog or even Keri Serika’s blog..it means money that needs to be spent! Look that really sounded like I was complaining. I love great stuffs! Anyway, I am glad you had time to enjoy the rainbow. I think that is the best part of the rain..well not the best part..but an awesome site. My children love to love to find it at the end of the rain! I can’t wait for pictures!!
