I made this!

The past couple of weeks have been crazy busy at our house. Lots to do with standardized testing, field trips, school projects, book reports, stripe testing, practice for the demo team, and board breaking.  Last weekend we went to a museum opening, spent lots of time playing hometown tourists, and I had some time to finally start on my door prizes for next weekend’s gathering in SoCal. I’ve never been to one of the Manias that Jami, Joy, and Emily put on, and I am terribly excited to see them and a bunch of other girlfriends.  Even if I don’t stamp (and those of you who know me, know that I rarely get any of the projects done at events!) I know that this weekend is exactly what I need to relax and refresh.

Here’s the outside:

And the cards for inside:

I used a lot of stuff, mostly Fancy Pants Stamps and Basic Grey Phoebe Patterned Paper (eclectic paperie), May Arts Ribbon (starlitstudio), and Marvy Uchida punches (ellen hutson).  Rubons are by American Crafts (local stamp store). Most everything has been accented with Primas and Stickles, too.

I really meant to write more about what I made, but just got a call that my best friend from high school has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. She’s in the hospital up the road, and has called asking me to visit. I’m going to go sit with her for a while.  I’m not usually one to ask, but will y’all send up any positive thoughts and prayers up for Starr?  She’s got two babies at home, and I can’t even begin to imagine what her family is going through right now. Thank you.

Oh Jenn…SO sorry to hear about your friend. Of course we’ll be praying for her. I hope you can keep us posted on how she’s doing.

Just a side note: love what you made! Those little green cards look like you’ve used the Fancy Pants stamps on (which I LOVE) but is that stickles making them so sparkly?? I haven’t ever used stickles.

    Have a great day!!
