Red came over last night, and he and Mike decided it was time for a poker clinic. So, I spent last night learning how to play Texas Hold ‘Em. Well, trying to. I had “pocket aces” a few times, and only once did that help me to take the pot. I tried, though, and that’s what matters! I don’t know if I have the concentration for the game. I’d much rather get lost in a book or something. Anyway, I’ll try to hone my skills this Wednesday. We’re having a family shindig after the parade here in town, and will be breaking in the new poker table. Wish me luck! I’m going up against longtime poker players like my grandma and uncle!
So on to the pocket thanks! Some lovely ladies in Tennessee (Hello, Keva, Julie & Erin!) made this card at their retreat yesterday. Beate and I were asked to create a few projects for them, and this is one of mine. Knowing what Beate had planned, I went for simpler projects! I’ll share the other two in the next few days.
Supplies used are all from Stampin’ Up!:
Tag stamp and jumbo wheel are from the Level 3 Hostess Set that’s available from SU! starting today. I used the All about Occasions set and All about Gratitude jumbo wheel here.
Cardstock: Certainly Celery, Wild Wasabi, Rose Red, Basic Black, Whisper White.
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Rose Red (the inside is stamped with the solid flower)
Accessories: Coluzzle, 1/2″ circle punch, 1/8″ handheld punch, large and small tag punch, gingham

Oh…I have been waiting to see these! Such a cute card, Jenn! I know the ladies were so excited about your projects. I love how the black and black gingham makes this one POP!
Beautiful card Jenn. Can’t wait to see what else you come up with from the new catty.
I didn’t get these in my pre-order, but you’re making me wish I did! Super nice project!
