Well, looking back, I guess I really do know how it happened! I kind of feel like I should be whispering, but hey, we’ve all been there, right? I know I’m not alone!
It started innocently enough with this.
The second SU! order of the beautiful new catalog. The first order was pretty modest, and more stamps and patterned paper than anything. Then I couldnt’t resist the siren call of more ribbon. More patterned paper. More accessories. More. Three boxes packed with stuff. But where to put it all (or most of it, some belonged to my neighbor!) . . . that bugged me!
I’ve told y’all before that I love to shuffle things around, so you probably know what’s coming. Mike and I went out to dinner on Saturday and after, we went to The Container Store, and I brought home a hanging file cart for under my stamp table and some new organizers for my growing ribbon collection. Sunday morning, I emptied one of my paper sorters and moved my favorite colors to the cart for easy access.
In anticipation of a hot stampin’ date with Beate on Friday, I moved the table back to the middle of the room, and moved shelves (even reappropriated one unit from a kid’s room!) underneath the wall-mounted ones and got those filled up with stuff that I like to use most. Ahhh, sweet organization!
Click if you want to see what I did with all the stuff !
After all of that shuffling of stuff, I had to stamp something!
Here’s a card made with an old favorite (flowers, naturally), and new colors:
And the details:
Stamp set: Bud Basics, Basics Jumbo wheel
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, Groovy Guava, Soft Sky, Apricot Appeal (centers of flowers)
Cardstock: Certainly Celery, Soft Sky, Groovy Guava, Whisper White
Accessories: Groovy Guava doublestitched ribbon, dimensionals, liquid glue, Dazzling Diamonds glitter
I made several more cards, but figure I’ll post them later this week!
If you’re headed to Denver for convention, be safe and have fun! If you’re going to be around this week, don’t forget the Dare to Get Dirty challenges – they start Wednesday morning! If you’re going to be playing poker on Friday (RED!), be prepared to just hand your money over to Mike!
Have a happy week, everyone!

That looks so pretty & organized – nice room!
Organization, don’t you luv it? Thanks for sharing.
I’m in great envy of your organization! How AWESOME! All my stuff is portable as I stamp in my dining room. Oh to have my own space….someday..*grin* I know now where to look for organization inspiration for sure!
Tara
Looks like you did a wonderful job organizing your new goodies! How fun that Beate is coming for a visit. I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful time together. π
Love your floral card with the new stuff…pretty color combination!!
My stamping area looks just like that…
and then, I wake up!
I know it keeps happening to me too. If you click over to my blog you will see what I mean. Where did you get all of those cubbies? I like that open storage.
Holy Organization, Balcer!! Wowza, that wall looks fantastic, Jenn! Can I come stamp, too? π
I’ll come along with Sharon. Love your organization.
WOW, that’s awesome! I keep putting off my second order! π
Look at all that color! This looks great. Do you wanna come organize my room?
How do you store your 12 x 12 paper? Great room!!
Oh…..a clean room to mess up! I can’t wait! Your storage wall looks awesome! It’s so worth the 14 hour drive when I know I get to see you!!!
Lovely room Jenn! If you’re even in the Philadelphia area you’re welcome here! I really could use your skills!!! Hee hee! π
Beautiful room! I would love to see more of it! I like organizing my supplies almost as much as using them.
You and Nichole Heady should pair up and create craft room organization charts! If you haven’t seen her post about her new craft room, you should! It’s an amazing feat of organization, storage and beauty, just like yours.
gorgeous room and card!
LOL, when my office grows up, it wants to be just like yours!! LOVE IT!
Hi Jean!
Your studio looks like a craft store. Everything is so organized and perfect! I love the way everything looks and I love your cards also.
Oh, my!! I am drooling, here!
I want it all, and I want it now! That’s my motto lately. (I don’t really get what I want. I just say that to my DH.)
Really, that’s beautiful! You’re a lucky girl.
Who can help themselves. Stamping is our addiction and a new catalog is like the biggest temptation who can withstand it! Just wait till you can order from the mini. I am sure there will be a few more things added to your collection and mine!! Luckily you have a nice place to put it all!
Your wall looks terrific! Come help me put my room in order please!!!!!
Love to see your reshuffling. Gotta admit that its looking more and more like a lovely boutique store instead of your studio. Have fun with Beate!
Love it! Where do the smaller cubbies on top of your white cubes come from? I have the white cubes and have put doors on them because my stampin’ space is my kitchen, not that it really looks like one anymore!
I love how colorful your room and supplies are. I also love how you can see all of your supplies.
Oh Jenn! Please come over to my house and help me get organized before my husband kills me! Not only is it organized, but it is so pretty! Can I come over to play at your house!? Pretty please!?
Holy Moly Jenn! That’s a lot of fun stuff. Can we all crash your stamping party on Friday? π
Love your blog and how organized you are!

Wow, brilliant storage, it’s a lovely looking space.
Love that card, great colour combo.
I love it when you said, some of your new stuff belonged to your neighbor and that bugged you! hahaha
I’m glad you got to nest with your new stuff!
The green eyed monster is coming out in me…I love your room and all the goodies in it (: I agree with a previous poster, you should think about coming up with your own line of organizational containers etc.
Quick! Hide that stuff before your husband gets home!!
You lucky girl! You went hog wild, how fun!
my jaw dropped when i saw your stamping area, it looks great! there are so many lovely things in the new collection i would have done the same but when i put in my order my credit card was maxed out! you are so organized, the old me {b4 my children}would have really enjoyed setting up something like this. it is so estetically pleasign to the eye. it’s easy to let things get outacontrol when creativity hits you.
Oh yeah…we’ve *all* been there. You certainly are all about vibrant color – no wonder I *love* your designs so much! *CAN’T WAIT* to see all of the gorgeous creations you make with your new candy!! ~ K
Great space!! Have fun with Beate and TFS.
