Friday means another sketchy card

and using some of that pesky patterned paper! But let’s not talk about the piles right now. Let’s talk about this card!

sketch27jbalcer.jpg

She’s just so adorable! Simple card based on Beate’s sketch for this week. For more takes on this sketch, visit Beate, Charmaine, Laurie, Lori, Mary Jo, and Sharon. . . . I can’t wait to see what those talented ladies have come up with (and I’ve already ogled Mary Jo’s this morning. Totally gasped out loud!).

Here’s the basic info for this 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ card:

Base and scalloped circle are Old Olive. Patterned paper is Collage Press Seeds Collection in Portico, and you can see both sides of the nice, heavy cardstock here. *Love* their patterned cardstock! The ribbon is Making Memories from my jar o’ blue and green ribbon and I thought it was perfect here! I watercolored the Winter Girl image with reinkers, punched with a circle punch, and adhered to the scalloped layer, then added Dazzling Diamonds glitter with a Sakura Quickie Glue Pen. Clear stones are Swarovski crystals, teal ones are A Muse Creative Candy (mini dots). She’s attached with dimensionals. Overall, a very quick card to make!

Two things bug me about my card: the two clear stones next to one another since I didn’t stop to count the scallops before adhering the alternating color sparklies, and the lack of an appropriate sentiment.

I guess I need to go shopping . . . .

Ok, so first of all, I didn’t even NOTICE the 2 clear stones next to each other. You know how I love bling, I was just happy with all the sparkles. AND I don’t think she needs a sentiment! If you really want one, take your small snap stamps and put “hi” on there or something. But really, it’s great like it is!
