Flower

Sometimes it just doesn’t work out.

Have you ever had one of those days? Your kids are sick and cranky, you are up all night with a barfing kid and another kid who is having a hard time breathing from all the congestion and a dog with the runs and your husband is sick and you’re stressed from work, and then you sit down to try to make something with certain parameters. And this happens.

Or doesn’t happen. The picture’s garbage, the stickles I used made the ink bleed, the card is too busy and still did not have the three thingees on the side or the hanging tag, and I said to myself, “ENOUGH.” Today, I’ll go home, take a nap, get up and take care of the things that I’ve had to push aside for the last two evenings, and try again. It’s only paper and ink, right? And today’s another day.

The card started as an interpretation of Beate’s sketch for this weekend. It ended its short life in the garbage this morning. ๐Ÿ™‚ You can find BEAUTIFUL creations by visiting Beate, Cami, Charmaine, Laurie, Lori, Mary Jo, and Sharon (and please leave some get well wishes for Sharon while you’re there!). Have a fabulous weekend!

If you must know what was used in the creation of this card. . .it’s all SU! (except the stickles I thought might salvage it). Rose Red, paper from Bali Breeze, Old Olive, Groovy Guava, and Shimmery White. I think that is Olive ribbon, too. Stamps are the Stitched Exotics and Stitched Background.

Jenn, I think it’s so happy and bright and would certainly bring a smile to my face if it appeared in my mailbox! ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s just darling, but I know how we don’t always like everything we create! ๐Ÿ™‚ Maybe you’ll like it better later! Great job!
