Hello, Friday!

It’s been a long week for us, lots going on everywhere and it seems like we’ve done nothing but run around. Nothin’ like a message from Above to have you slow down and appreciate everything and everyone around you, right?

We found out that a family member passed away last night. We’d been expecting the news, but still . . . hard to hear. Knowing I needed a sympathy card and had a sketch to work with and new product (my Jenni Bowlin kit arrived yesterday), it was easy to pull something together while I was a little distracted. I also started a birthday card with the same sketch, but didn’t get it done in time to share . . . my brother’s birthday is tonight, so I have time, right? Be back later with a bright card!

Make sure to check out Beate, Cami, Charmaine, Laurie, Lori, Mary Jo, and Sharon for more inspiration and takes on the sketch challenge. Don’t forget to hug your friends and family today, too!

Info after the page break if you’re interested.

You can click on the thumbnail to see the pretty paper better. I had to take a picture outside for a more true color representation. . . it was just too dark and the flash doesn’t do sometimes!

Paper: Bazzill base, Chocolate Chip layers. Patterned paper is from 7 Gypsies – the ivory is Staatsburgh, the blue pattern is ___ (I’ll be back to add that)

Ink: Chocolate Chip Craft, Old Paper distress from Ranger

Stamps: Brighter Tomorrow (I think) retired from SU!

Accessories: Coffee Shop Glimmer Mist, Ranger ink sponge thingee, SU! pretties kit and Chocolate ribbon, scalloped scissors by Fiskars, foam tape, Chipboard shape with hole punched @ top (unknown).

Sorry for your loss… Your card is lovely. I need one for a acquaintance who just lost her son, a young adult the same age as my youngest daughter. The colors you chose are perfect.
