First, though, the Copic colors used on the poppies. I had a few comments, and a couple of emails, too. So here ya go. I used the same colors on the other card, but the look is so different because of the paper the image was stamped on. Thank you for your sweet comments! I also had a question about the ribbon . . . it takes practice! 🙂 Just double up, and keep on tying!
Here’s another flowery card – shocker, I know. Maria from Kitchen Sink Stamps has the most gorgeous hydrangea stamps, and combined with this Anna Griffin patterned paper. . . sigh! It’s perfect for my mother-in-law’s card. You can find the pocket card tutorial here. The patterned paper is one sided and very flimsy, so I adhered it to cardstock before I scored and folded. Worked very well! The ribbon on the pocket was already ruffled. I just adhered it with Scor-Tape (love that you don’t need scissors for this stuff!). The picot-edged ribbon was stitched to the insert and then I tied the bow around just the top part.
My sister came over yesterday afternoon. She had a surprise guest in from Ohio and they were in town shopping for Mother’s Day gifts for sweet Addi to take home with her, and needed a little bit of help with cards and prettying up the packages. Enter Aunt Jenn’s stamp room, and any need you have for paper and ribbon is fulfilled! 🙂
Here’s what the girls made.
They had much fun using Nestabilities (my sister might just come over to the dark side of paper crafting yet!) in the Cuttlebug. After Addi picked her colors (can you tell she loves purple?), they worked on making these cute folded Mother’s Day cards and also little note cards for Addi to take home with her. We dumped the jar of random Prima flowers (when the bottles get low, I just dump the rest into a jar) onto the table, and they chose flowers, set eyelets, and added rhinestones and ribbons, too.
Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!
