I got to do both Emily’s color challenge (Rose Red + Basic Black + Kraft) *and* Beate’s inspiration challenge (this Coldwater Creek art)! After a fun weekend out of town (and thankfully, we’re staying home for a while!) and getting the kids off to school for the first day, and all that’s involved with those things, I was more than happy to play!
The Poppy stamps from Flourishes were (still) on my table from before, and I dug up some kraft + black striped 7 gypsies paper and then kraft and black cardstocks from my stash. The poppy images were stamped right onto the kraft with Memento ink, and then I used an aquapainter and reinkers to color the image. The shimmer is from applying Twinkling H2Os over the image. Because I decided to just use Kaiser black rhinestones on the scallops (nestabilities cut to just strips) instead of adding ribbon and *more* stuff, I thought this needed something else. This seems just right!
