This one was FUN!

There’s a whole lot going on at our place lately, lots of changes in all kinds of crazy, wonderful ways! So, we’re staying home this weekend and installing bamboo flooring on this side of the house. Both kids’ rooms, my office/stamp room, the hallway . . . that’s a LOT of stuff to move out! Red will be over to help, and we’ll have a blast, I’m sure. I’m making The Pioneer Woman’s pot roast and mashed potatoes for dinner . . . Anyone around here wanna come by and help?

I had lots of fun with this week’s sketch from Beate. I followed it pretty literally here (and got really link happy, too!):

Cupcake & sentiment (both from Unity) are stamped on shimmery white cardstock, colored with Copics, and blinged with Kaiser rhinestones (isn’t it pretty?) and then layered, layered, layered using Nestabilities:

The pretty yellow cardstock is Prism, and the patterned papers are from Luxe Designs. I met Emily Adams earlier this year, and fell in love. . . with her style and flair, and of course, the company, too! Very cool stuff, but my favorite is their Simply Luxe line. Same pattern on both sides of heavyweight cardstock, just reversed! Everything in pretty colors that coordinate with all kinds of stuff you already have. You need some, trust me!

The delicious turquoise ribbon is from sweet Jody’s shares – I just signed up for another spot in everything (shhhhh!), all because she sent me this card with the sweetest fuzzy, touchable, caterpillar ribbon and my daughter wanted some. I’m a good mama, huh? What you don’t see are the little foam boosters I used. (Her sticky stuff shares rock, too. Mmmm, stuff!)

On to this fun little card. It’s 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″, verrry loosely based on the sketch, and I’m going to leave it on a co-workers desk in the morning, so won’t need an envelope that would just squish the little bow thingee. She recently found my blog, and I think she’ll love this considering the month she’s had so far! It’s only the 4th? 5th? and it’s already feeling like we’ve had a whole month full of Mondays. This one’s for you, Margie!

Cocktail Party by Unity ~ isn’t the sentiment perfect for those kinda days? I used the same yellow Prism, and some left over patterned paper from this card (it’s from KI Memories), and some pretty lime green Coredinations cardstock, more Kaiser rhinestones, some black satin ribbon from my stash, and a big green brad that I *think* is from Making Memories. FUN!

Now, start your weekend off right – go say hi to my talented friends Beate, Cami, Charmaine, Laurie, Lori, Mary Jo & Sharon. You know they’ll knock your socks off, so be prepared!  Have a happy weekend . . .
