This is what happens when your office/stamp room is still a shambles (see it in all of its messy glory here) the night before you need to post a challenge card. Quick. Simple. . . . and surprise, surprise! Some stuff from a card kit from a long-ago SU! stamp camp was used! It’s amazing, the things you find when you’re moving stuff around and reorganizing.
See Beate’s sketch here, and cards from Beate, Cami, Charmaine, Laurie, Lori, Mary Jo & Sharon on their blogs – I’m sure you’ll be grinning like this kitty when you’re done!
The sketch was very easy, and if I had more than a 1′ x 1′ square to work in and easier access to my stuff, I might have done some things differently! Instead, I did my own limited supply challenge! The cat from Anna’s new Whipper Snapper release was stamped, then colored with Copics while I talked to my father-in-law about putting in some new under-desk cabinets for me. They’ll go under the custom shelves he built for this room several years ago. I’ve been using Iris and Elfa carts for storage, but want something grown-up and matchy matchy. Once the floor’s in, he’ll install new cabinets with hanging files, punch storage, whatever I need. And then, I think he can be talked into building a nice storage island to replace this butcher block table (he’s seen what I want and already proclaimed it would be a cinch). He’s a keeper! He was also a little chatty, so I made this one just for fun:
Lots going on this weekend, as usual – as I write this close to midnight on Thursday night, my husband’s moving stuff back into the kids’s rooms and some more stuff into the garage so that you can actually walk into our house without tripping. We only got the floor in the kids’ rooms done, and all of their stuff is everywhere but in their rooms! Friday brings early release for the kids (weather related), and then it’s poker night at the Balcer place. My little boy’s turning 11 on Saturday and we’ll have a family thing that night. . . .and somewhere, somehow, we’re going to try to get the flooring installed in here. Busy, busy, but it will be so worth it! I keep telling myself that . . . .
