Spook or Treat!

It’s the 20th of the month, and that means a bunch of fabulous projects created by Dirty Dozen design team members past and present. I was excited to see Emily’s challenge: create a Halloween treat with googlie eyes. Of course, there’s a catch. We could not use a pumpkin anywhere. Her exact words were, “No pumpkins! This means no images with animals on pumpkins, holding pumpkins, thinking about pumpkins, growing pumpkins, going to their Mom’s for pumpkins …. don’t even think about it! No pumpkins!! ” I think she was pretty serious about that restriction, don’t you? Anna’s Whippersnapper stamps were perfect for this challenge. How *cute* are they with googlie eyes?

Here are my two projects. First, a simple treat slider. It’s pretty simple,

but hey. . . check out the candy bar inside! I bought it several weeks ago at World Market.

I also stocked up on Halloween goodies (who else buys good stuff just in case there are leftovers?) during a Target run Sunday. I picked up a package of assorted treat bags and a topper to one. The kitty and spider are paper pieced – a little much if you’re doing a bunch, but a really sweet look nonetheless.

Go see all of the other Halloween treats here in the Splitcoast gallery. I’m sure they’ll be delightful and not frightful!

So awesome Jenn! That polka dotted ribbon is delish! And yes, I too buy the good stuff just in case there are leftovers…maybe I should stash some away just to make sure there ARE leftovers. Is that terrible?! 🙂

I actually buy the candy I DON’T like because otherwise it will be gone by Halloween (ask my too-tight pants how I know that) 😉

    LOVE your treats!!! SO cute!
