A feeling of accomplishment

That’s what I have!

holidaypackage01.jpg

This evening, I baked a couple of batches of cookies. We’re keeping some for us, and some, we’re sending away. I packed a few dozen into these food-safe kraft bags I purchased locally (since they’re being mailed, I took extra care and zigzagged parchment paper between each cookie and packed them in a box that would fit both bags pretty snugly), tied them together with some pretty ribbon, added a simple (but handmade!) tag, tucked some tissue in, and added a handmade Christmas card on top of everything.  Let me tell you. . handmade Christmas cards are hard to come by in this house this year. . . and I’m okay with that!

Since I don’t know what the next couple of weeks will bring with the kids home from school . . . Merry Christmas, from my house to yours!

I made this digital card to print and add to the front of real cards. Elements are from a kit I downloaded last Christmas (from here – her stuff is beautiful!), family portrait is by Maile at Relish here in San Antonio – my Christmas present to me!

I love this photo and even more, the festively painted red toenails, as your legs are lovingly draped over your hubby’s lap and he has his hand on your leg, and the kids are sitting there so cute, it’s like you are all watching a movie (maybe a drive-in or sit-in one) and doing an every day thing, but it is beautiful.
Thanks for sharing it on here for us to see.
