Ooh, I got to play with paper today!

I picked up this ornament when I went to Waxahachie with the girls last month and right away had one thing in mind. My husband’s boss has an old red truck out in front of the property and always fills the bed with seasonal plants, and I thought of them immediately and had to buy it and add it to the gift certificates that they always present to them. I made this box with my trusty Scor-Pal and Scor-Mat, a craft knife, Zip Dry glue, and acetate from Flourishes. Easy, quick, and a real wow! The only stamping is the Scrapblock from CHF. My husband was super pleased, and to tell you the truth? I was, too!

Here’s the simple card. . .it uses Hero Arts bird stamps that I’d never, ever unwrapped after buying them 2-3 years ago. Another proud moment. . .

Little birdie was stamped in Memento ink, colored with Copics, glittered with Sakura Quickie glue, and cut with Nestabilities. I mounted the Poison Ivory card to the green (which SU! green is that??) Scalloped Nestabilities-cut card, punched a hole in it, and DONE!

Y’all have a happy Friday!

OOOOH what a great idea. Don’t you just love it when something WORKS. I really like that you created a box for it. Makes the present that much better. IMHO. He will love it. Glad you inked up a lonely stamp too. Have a great Christmas.
P.S. Have you ever tried putting your ribbon through a printer and printing right on the ribbon. I know we had this ribbon conversation the other day but I saw where you could attach it to paper and put it through certain types of printers. Just curious. My luck it would get stuck in there and I would have to take it to my computer guy and say “Can you pretty please get this ribbon out of my printer” LOL. He would not be surprised at all…
