Last minute Lucy . . .

that’s me! The final day of school for my kids is tomorrow, just a few hours away. The kids love to give a little something to their teachers at the end of the year – movie passes and restaurant gift cards are typical gifts. We wanted to give them a little something extra, too. I’d seen an idea from Julia Sandvoss on the Pursuit of Craftyness blog last week, and thought it would be fun to do for the kids’ teachers. They loved the idea, and I loved that the project was easy. Fast. DONE!  Just grab a couple of little cracker jars and a couple of bags of candy from Target, ribbon and cardstock from your stash, and decorate! I used Nestabilities to cut the plain circles (after I printed the sentiment on patterned paper) and the scalloped circle, and used Zip Dry to adhere the cardstock to the jar lid.  For more teacher appreciation ideas, check this gallery on Splitcoast, and this forum thread, too. There’s plenty of time to find an idea and make it just perfect for your family.
