if I’d like working with this sketch this week. (I kinda may have groaned a little when I saw it, to be perfectly honest!) By the time I was almost finished with the card, though, I thought, “Hey, this is pretty darned sassy!” Thanks, Beate, for a sketch that had me making a card WAY out of my comfort zone!
Here’s some info about the stuff I used, if you’re interested. The stamp’s from an older Unity Kit of the Month (December ’08), the patterned paper and die cuts are from October Afternoon, with some random colored and ivory cardstock thrown in, too. Ribbon, buttons, and bling finished the card off in a way that just made me happy, happy, happy!

I hope everyone has a marvelous three-day weekend full of family, fun, and doing what you love. For me, that means sleeping in a bit, reading a book, taking a nap, listening to music, dancing with my kiddos until we’re out of breath, and hopefully not having to be anywhere for anything! Good times.

Gorgeous card! Love the colors and patterns. I had to laugh when I read you groaned. There have been a few times I have groaned ant sketches or color challenges and ended up being very glad I tried since I ended up liking it after all.
