Fall-ish Treat

treatbag.jpg

Today Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps is releasing the fabulous September images which include cute birthday critters and this adorable scarecrow as well as those five beautiful bombshells and their coordinating sassy sentiments.

If you’re viewing from your reader or a subscription email and would like to start at the beginning of the hop, go visit the Kraftin’ Kimmie challenge blog here.  As you hop from blog to blog, be sure to leave a comment at each and every stop because some lucky stampers will win packages of stamps from the new release! When you’re done hoppin’, be sure to head over to the Kraftin’ Kimmie shop, because ALL the new images are NOW available!  If Andrea and Kaitlyn sent you, there’s only one more stop. . . Kraftin’ Kimmie herself!

Now some blahblah about my quickie project:

The other day, my kids and I were at Cost Plus and found a pretty bag of caramel covered, chocolate drizzled popcorn that had these mysterious orange-ish and reddish candy-looking things mixed in with it. I thought, “Wow! This would be perfect for little treats for all the cousins who come over for Halloween!”  So I bought the big bag and brought it home. I made a cute little bag for it by running the coffee bag through my Big Shot with one of the plain oval Nestabilities. I added a strip of patterned paper, another Nestability-cut oval frame, and this sweet little scarecrow (available today at Kraftin’ Kimmie!), then filled it with a cello bag that I’d stuffed with some of the popcorn. I was so excited – how cute, right? – added a big bow, and then decided to try the popcorn.

UGH. It was repulsive. Brought the kids in to try it, too. Verdict: Throw. The. Whole. Bag. Out.

Guess I’ll be working on some other kind of treat for the cousins!  I think this cutie pie scarecrow will find his way onto tags! 🙂  Thanks for visiting today!

Superb idea with this image for the season of Harvest/Thanksgiving. Love what you’ve done in pairing that silky ribbon & bling with the scruffy scarecrow patchworked character.
