I usually have a hard time doing vintage or shabby, but this one came easy. 🙂  Beate and I were walking around the show floor at CHA in Chicago a few months ago and I fell in love with Sandy’s new botanical images. This huge poppy had to be mine! It was dreamy to color. . . . can’t wait to do something with this gorgeous sunflower, too.
Details, details – Poppy and sentiment from Crafty Secrets’ Poppy set was stamped on X-Press It Blending Card (Ellen has it in stock now in 10 and 25 packs as well as by the ream) in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics (R20, R22, R24, R27, YG17, YG91, YG95, W1, C6) and then sponged with Old Paper Distress Ink.  Both patterned papers are from October Afternoon and solid red and black are from Gina K.  The ribbons came from my stash.

Girl…that’s gorgeous! I love that you sponged and distressed the edges! LOVE the colors you chose, your coloring, the stitching, the paper. This is a home run!
P.S.: Already ordered a whole pack of the paper from Ellen! 🙂
Hugs and smiles
