Some days, ya just gotta stamp

Like today. It’s too hot outside to do much of anything (and besides, after my little hissy fit when I couldn’t get my lawnmower to work this morning, I needed a little creative escape!) . . . so I colored a couple of images.

I needed a couple of cards to take to a little birthday party for twin sisters. One of the sisters has always been into more demure colors, the other into more vivid and bright colors. Same card layout, different papers and colors.

The stamp is one of Marcella Hawley’s illustrations for Flourishes (so appropriate, Marcy’s celebrating a big birthday today, too!), inked in Memento Tuxedo black and then colored with Copic markers. Easy, quick, still pretty.

This coming weekend, I’ll be in Spokane teaching a Copic Certification class. I can’t wait to meet everyone and get in front of a group again!  Are you interested in attending a class? Here’s a list of coming classes:

7: in Philadelphia, PA Taught by Lori Craig
11: in Boston, MA Taught by Lori Craig
12: in Spokane, WA Taught by Jenn Balcer
18: in Coos Bay, OR Taught by Marianne Walker
23: in Lexington, KY Taught by Colleen Schaan
23: in Wichita, KS Taught by Lori Craig

I’ll be in Houston on July 16, then in Manhattan with Lori Craig on August 7 (Hellooooooo, New York City!!) and then in Oklahoma City with Lori & Beate on August 26.

For the most up-to-date information and application information, please check the Copic site here.
