I needed a card to send to school on Monday, and conveniently had new stamps to play with! The Changito collection from Stampendous is SO fun, and the minute my daughter and I saw them, we knew we had to have them. These little monkeys (Changito is little monkey in Spanish) just jumped into my cart! Here’s what I made.
I stamped the palm fronds in True Thyme on True Thyme. The safari changito was stamped with Brilliance in Coffee Bean on Sahara Sand cardstock, and then watercolored with my aquapainter and watercolor crayons. The stamped image was mounted on Chocolate Chip and pierced all around. I roughed up the edges, tied on some chocolate gingham from my stash, and then dimensionaled to a square of Always Artichoke I’d applied Coffee Bean ink to. Super easy, and perfect for a quick note!
We’ve been all the go all weekend, and I’m exhausted! Most of Saturday was spent in church. My father-in-law was ordained a Deacon and we were there to celebrate with him. After, we headed out to my little sister’s new home for her housewarming BBQ. We came home super late, then had another full day today! There was a big party at my inlaws, complete with accordion music and lots of yummy food. We got to know Mike’s great uncle from Michigan a bit more, and I took a ton of pictures. It was especially nice to see Mike’s Grandma (who’s usually closeted up in her room when we visit) DANCING out in the middle of the living room floor. DANCING!
Lots of good times! Next week, I’m going to go hog wild scrapbooking! I love three day weekends!
