This sketch was a challenge! With all the back-to-school prep going on around here, it’s been hard to find time to do something, anything creative, much less something where I have something to follow! Here’s my kinda-sorta sketch challenge card. When I get home from work this afternoon, I am going to clean up the mess on my stamping table and try again till I create something I love instead of just like!
Check out Beate, Charmaine, Lori, and Sharon’s, too!
Last night was meet the teacher night. We’d already purchased all of the school supplies we needed to and had backpacks bursting at the seams. I hadn’t had time to create my usual teacher gifts (a stack of thank you and birthday cards), so I stopped by Target on the way home from work and the kids chose some candy to give their teachers. The KitKats and Reeses Peanut Butter Cups (and the help during a call from my friend Lori) determined our color scheme. Since I had new stamps from Papertrey still on my table (in the box they shipped in!), I started there for wrappers for the Hershey Nuggets and the simple tag. I got a call from Beate, and added the “Thank U” from True Friend since it was on my stamping table, too. Here’s the finished product, times two. I created the tags and stamped a sheet of Avery labels for the nuggets in the 20 minutes I had before we had to leave for my hair appointment on the other side of town. WHEW! We made it there just in time, came back home, picked up the candy jars, school supplies and Daddy, and headed off to the school. They were a hit with the teachers!
