Once I pulled out patterned paper, my version of Beate’s 42nd sketch came together pretty quickly. You’re sure to get inspiration by visiting Beate, Cambria, Charmaine, Laurie, Mary Jo, Sharon this morning. They never disappoint!
K & Co flat papers in Oriental and Blue Floral patterns were picked up last weekend at my local scrapbooking store. I combined them with Pink Passion, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, and Green Galore solid cardstock, and SU! stamps. The flowers are all pretty random, but there are little stitches all making up the patterned paper, so I thought this background was perfect. I stamped the Stitched background (and the Thanks from I can’t remember which set!) in Pink Passion Craft ink. Some faux stitching, a lot of Kaiser rhinestones as well as a rhinestone brad, some Flower Fusion blooms, ribbon, and dimensionals later, I was done.
I might just send this card out in the mail today to a dear friend who surprised me (and totally made my day) with these lovely flowers. Aren’t they just beautiful? I called to thank her and to gush a bit, but a hand stamped card is most certainly in order, don’t you think? Though maybe I’ll do something more girlie and less day-glo. . . . I’ll have to work on that this evening!
I stamped the card above while watching the finale of last season’s The Tudors. Thanks to Angie, schwoooooooo! I’ve been HOOKED on the show. Sometimes, well, you just need a bit of of a saucy (and yeah, I’ll admit it’s pretty smutty!) escape to keep ya going!
Hope everyone has a marvelous weekend. Other than getting my hair done tomorrow, I have no plans. I can’t wait.

Gorgeous card!! It’s “signature Jenn” with your bright, beautiful colors! Your flowers are stunning too, what a nice surprise for your day!! Glad you liked The Tudors too! There was a question on Jeopardy the other day (yeah, dh and I tape that and watch it, our nerdy side!), about “blah blah the coach in Bend It Like Beckham.” I was screaming “JONATHAN RHYS MEYERS” (none of the contestants knew it!) and I was telling dh, “You know, he’s Henry VIII, he’s Henry VIII!” until finally dh is like “I knooooowww already!” Too much excitement on my part maybe?!
Jenn, this is so gorgeous! I am just in love with how you did your bow!!! The bling (oh, I LOVE the bling), those flowers, that delicious DP…it’s all just wonderful!
