They’re the hardest of cards to make, aren’t they?
I needed to make a card for a bunco friend whose husband passed away this weekend, and struggled. A lot. I always do when it comes to making sympathy cards, don’t you? One thing was for certain, though. I knew I wanted to use the “Not Forgotten” stamps from Gina K. and was leafing through some stacks of more somber papers when I found this pretty dove grey lace patterned paper from Anna Griffin. The card is 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and just the right size for everyone to add their condolences inside, and I think the soft greys are perfect.
Thanks, Gina, for creating this set. It’s so appropriate for so many situations. . .now we just need a few more relations, like grandmother and grandfather!
Other stuff: Pure Luxury cardstock from Gina K, dotted white is bazzil, I think. Grey is Core’dinations. I also used a Spellbinders die (Labels 4) for the sentiment, as well as a a rhinestone brade and some pretty silvery-grey crepe paper and ribbon trim from a Jenni Bowlin kit.

I agree….these type of cards are terribly hard to make. But I think you did an outstanding job with this!! The soft greys are perfect…(and I need to order this set…have this dumb idea if I don’t have sympathy sets, I won’t have to use them (yeah…that denial thing)
Yes, these cards are difficult, but you have done a beautiful job here. I am sure your friend will be touched.
They are – but this is beautiful. I’m sorry for your friend 🙁
