A Joyful Mail Day

I am not normally a rush to the mailbox kind of girl, but today was different! Daisy and Joy over at Eclectic Paperie shipped a big box o’ stuff out, and I figured it would be waiting for me either today or tomorrow. When I spied the key in our mailbox, I knew I had a box of lovelies just wanting to be played with!

There were a couple of other little items in there that I put away before I thought to take a picture of the stuff and go play! Wanna see what I made?

When I first saw the Stampendous flowers on Julie’s blog, I thought immediately of this Anthropologie catalog page I’d ripped out sometime last fall.

Here’s the card itself:

The Open Bloom set is perfect! Just the right sized flower with two different centers as well as the thank you sentiment. Super easy – just black ink on vanilla cardstock and a bit of ribbon.

Also created this card for my inlaws. They wanted something big enough for about 25-30 people to sign, something girly for a special lady. This is my favorite layout, the one that I always go to when I need a card, and Valerie Stangle always makes it sing with paper pierced accents and patterned paper. I took the layout and blew it up to 5 3/4″ x 5 3/4″ for this card.

I think this was the first time I used the Wild Rose stamp set, and know it was the first time to use the Leaves a la Carte jumbo wheel! I’m pretty pleased with the way it turned out. What do you think?

I love both of them. Your ribbon treatment with the poppy card is perfect. Those roses on your wild rose card are so nicely arranged…love the colors and piercing!!

Hi! I saw the stamps on Julie’s website a few weeks back and resisted the challenge of purchasing. Your card just put me over the edge! thanks for the inspiration, both are LOVELY!

Absolutely gorgeous cards Jenn! I found a couple of the Stampendous stamps at my local Archiver’s and picked them up. Sadly, they haven’t seen ink (yet)! I’m looking forward to seeing what you wind up creating with them (your flower cards are always the best). My Archiver’s doesn’t have a few of the stamps that I want, so I have a feeling that I’ll be ordering them through Joy pretty soon (that would be as soon as you start uploading gorgeous creations that will make it futile to resist)!

    TFS!

I was gonna say “No, I don’t want to see what you made!” cause I was afraid I’d have a terrible attack of lemmingness, but when I clicked to make a comment there they were anyway. Now, as long as I don’t go to their website, I should be okay… gotta get off the computer now… no! don’t click that link!… Someone save me!
