Flower

Y’all may get sick of flowers

I have a thing for flowers, and buy as many flower stamps as I want, and then still end up getting more whenever and wherever I see them. Shameless the way I buy those!

Here are a few things that I made on Friday night . . . using flowers, of course! I had to stamp some stuff to put in the mail for Geeta (yes, I am horribly late, but who knew?). . .

Agapanthus. . . Last year, we planted big clumps of those gorgeous blueish-purplish flowers in our back yard. The plants are just starting to send up spikes, and I can’t wait to see the showy blooms. Clipping a couple-three of those to put in a vase makes me super happy!

Stamps: Stampendous Agapanthus Cluster and Agapanthus Bloom, Papertrey Paper Tray Cardstock: Elegant Eggplant, Always Amethyst; Shimmery White. Ink: Elegant Eggplant; Accessories: Aquapainter, Stickles, dimensionals, really wide duo-toned organdy from my stash.

I stamped the cluster, and then went back in with the aquapainter to fill in the outlined blooms. Once everything was dry, I roughed up the edges, did a little direct to paper, and adhered to the Amethyst layer. I punched a hole, tied ribbon, and then mounted on a card I’d already stamped with the single blooms. The whole card took just a few minutes to put together, but it’s one of my favorites!

This one was easy, too. I’m really into easy lately.

I stamped the Stampendous Open Bloom flowers and centers with Palette Noir ink, and then painted with different layers of Twinkling H20s. After I stamped a quick sentiment from Paper Tray and tied on some May Arts ribbon i was done!

And check these out, too!

First bluebonnet of the year. I was waiting for this . . . last year, we saw maybe ONE bluebonnet, and that really stunk for us. LOVE taking pics of the kids in the bluebonnets like all other Texas mommas! I snapped this one yesterday, and on the drive home today, saw tons more. I’ll have to drag the kids over to a field to get some new bluebonnet pics this weekend!

What gorgeous flowers! Both the stamped and the fresh! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thanks for sharing them. The trees are starting to bud here, but no flowers quite yet, so these were wonderful to see.

I love your cards, and I’m in Texas too so I love the photos of the flowers. We don’t see a whole lot around here. I’ve been wondering what Bluebonnet actually looks like! It looks very pretty and I love blue! The white flower you took a picture of is called Prickly Poppy. Watch the stem and leaves, it really is prickly but so pretty!! You’ll have to share a picture of the field of bluebonnets when you get them! Take care. ๐Ÿ™‚
